GASB 87 Lease Workshop
January 29 – GASB 87 Lease Workshop, Wednesday, January 29, from 1 to 5 p.m., BKD Kansas City office, Missouri. With the new lease accounting standards effective beginning in 2020 for all governmental entities, it’s time for health care and similar organizations to start implementation projects for this significant new standard. In this workshop, we’ll discuss new lease accounting rules and challenges and explore implementation opportunities. We’ll also summarize effects of the changes on financial statements, key ratios, debt compliance and disclosures.
