November's topic will focus on the utilization of employer-provided education assistance programs to attract and retain workers. According to the 2022 SHRM Employee Benefits Survey, 65% of respondents felt that providing professional and career development benefits was very or extremely important. Of the organizations that responded, 78% cover the cost for employees to develop new skills. However, only 2 to 5% of employees use these benefits! Why is that?
