OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – FORVIS, a leading national public accounting and advisory firm, is expanding its presence in Oklahoma with the addition of James R. Minnix, CPA, Inc., PC, effective Dec. 12.
Minnix has deep roots in Oklahoma, with offices in Oklahoma City and Clinton. The firm provides tax and outsourced accounting services to clients in the state.
“With the evolution of our industry, we are seeing high demand for outsourced accounting and tax management services that Minnix has extensive experience providing,” said Carley Williams, managing partner of FORVIS’ Oklahoma practice unit, which includes offices in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Enid. “Rusty and his team bring a personalized approach to client service and, together, we will continue to provide innovative offerings that fit our clients’ unique needs.”
Fourteen new team members will join FORVIS in the deal, including owner and president James “Rusty” Minnix, who joins as a partner.

Minnix traces its history to the 1960s in Clinton. Rusty Minnix became a partner with his family accounting firm in 1996 and expanded the firm’s presence to Oklahoma City in 2008 to accommodate a growing client base. The Minnix team will integrate into FORVIS’ Oklahoma City office and will continue to maintain a presence in Clinton. FORVIS is among the largest public accounting firms in Oklahoma, with approximately 150 employees across its three offices.
