FORVIS welcomes Marlon Bernal as new partner in Washington, D.C.
WASHINGTON D.C. – FORVIS is pleased to welcome new partner Marlon Bernal to the firm’s assurance practice, focused on providing audit, attest and advisory services to both public and privately held companies. Based in the Washington, D.C. market, Bernal brings more than 20 years of industry experience to FORVIS serving clients that have domestic and international operations in the technology, government contracting and life science industries, and assisting publicly traded clients with compliance and filings with Securities and Exchange Commission regulations.
Bernal joins FORVIS just as the firm officially launched on June 1, following the merger of equals of BKD and DHG. Through the merger, FORVIS has an expanded national platform, deepened industry expertise, greater resources and even more innovative advisory services to best serve clients’ needs. The footprint will not change in the metro D.C. area and Caleb Vuljanic will continue to lead the market as managing partner. Bernal will work closely with firm leaders to continue to grow and expand the government contracting and technology practices with new career opportunities and client offerings.
“We are thrilled to welcome Marlon to the firm at such a pivotal time for us and for the greater business landscape,” said Vuljanic. “We are witnessing a fast-changing environment that is impacting our clients’ short- and long-term goals. Especially in our market, clients are expanding and growing in new ways with many transitioning their traditional business models to become tech-enabled companies and navigate IPOs. Marlon’s technical skillset coupled with his industry background will help our team continue to provide innovative approaches to best serve these fast-growing companies.”
“I am very proud to join FORVIS at this exciting moment in the firm’s history. FORVIS has the resources and talent to compete with the largest firms in the nation with a responsiveness and personalized approach for a client experience that will certainly stand out in the market,” said Bernal. “I look forward to working with the leaders in metro Washington D.C. market and beyond to help our clients reach their goals.”
