States, local governments, and tribes across the country have begun expending the $350 billion allocated to them by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The 437-page final rule was released on January 6, 2022, and local governments are working to understand how to apply it to their specific circumstances. This presentation will cover key aspects of the final rule, provide resources for further education, and share examples of what other governments are doing, including early lessons learned.
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Discuss key aspects of the final rule for the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds program
- Identify examples of how local governments are using these funds
- Describe lessons learned and considerations to keep in mind while performing their government's strategic plan
