INDIANAPOLIS – Jay Cunningham has joined FORVIS as a managing director with the firm’s forensics and valuation practice.
Cunningham has 20 years of experience advising attorneys and clients involved in disputes or litigation. His experience encompasses the entire litigation process including discovery, damage analysis, preparation of expert reports, and preparation for deposition and trial testimony. He has provided financial expert testimony in arbitration, state, and federal court settings.
Cunningham joins a growing regional and national forensics practice for FORVIS, which is one of the nation’s top 10 largest public accounting firms by annual revenue. The move to FORVIS pairs him with Bryan Callahan, another one of the region’s most experienced forensic accounting professionals.

Cunningham has advised clients in numerous types of disputes, including accounting malpractice, anti-trust, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of non-compete agreements, breach of warranty, class action, insurance claims, intellectual property, product liability, shareholder disputes, and more.
Prior to joining FORVIS, he spent 10 years in a leadership role at Katz Sapper & Miller, a top 50 accounting firm based in Indianapolis.
He is a CPA and additional certifications include Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF). Cunningham earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from Murray State University, Murray, Kentucky.
